The one day music and arts festival extravaganza was on Saturday 14th June showcased and celebrated diverse and exciting artists. High profile acts performed alongside local and emerging talent, transforming the venue into a hive of entertainment. Headliners included one of the current best live dance acts in the UK, The Correspondents, the respected and revered drum and bass artist, Dillinja, and Channel One Sound System, one of the best known dub reggae sound systems in the world.
This one day charity event featured an inspiring collection of artists, including live bands and musicians, DJ’s, comedy, theatre, spoken word and art. It gave festival goers the opportunity to enjoy a great selection of shows, whilst addressing the issue of homelessness in the UK as The Big Noise is the first ever music and arts festival which has been produced in aid of The Big Issue Foundation.
The festival also included live music from Slamboree Sound System, Shlomo, Rodney P, MC Xander, Marvellous Cain, Renegade Brass Band, JFB VS Switch, 2 Bad Mice, Seas of Mirth, Talisman, Richard Herring, Carnival Collective, The Great Malarkey, True Collectives, Nightwave, and many more across 5 stages.
It was a fantastic day of entertainment, all in aid of a very worthy cause. The festival raised funds for The Big Issue Foundation; all of the profits raised through ticket sales, as well as the further fundraising elements, went directly to the charity.
