Homelessness is an issue surrounded by a lot of misunderstandings and teaching the next generation about homelessness and how The Big Issue and Foundation are dealing with it can seem like a daunting task. That’s why we’ve created some easy to use resources ideal for assemblies or class talks. There is a pack for KS2 which is appropriate for ages 8 to 11 and a KS3 pack which is appropriate for ages 12 to 16. Each pack has a downloadable presentation and plan, there is also a short video that can be used alongside the presentation which can be streamed from here or if you would like us to send you a copy via We Transfer or Yousendit then please email us here.
- Key Stage 2 Assembly pack (1MB PDF)
- Key Stage 3 Assembly pack (1MB PDF)
- PowerPoint Slideshow (6.2MB PPSX)
There are lots of other great ways that schools can get involved. Resources to help with school fundraising events from bake sales to quiz nights can be found here. If you’re interested in organising a fundraiser or would like more information about The Big Issue or Big Issue Foundation then please get in touch we’d love to hear from you.
There are also lots more free educational activities and ideas in our Big Sleep Out pack.
