Freddie Lampen, lead vocalist from Carousel commented on the partnership "Ourselves and our manager discussed the idea of homelessness and we were all inspired by the consistent work the Big Issue Foundation has achieved over the years in helping homelessness and fighting the cause for people who are homeless across Great Britain".
Jamie and Rob Coakley added "It all fell in place at the right time. After we discussed this very important issue . We happened to have a conversation with a homeless girl who had been homeless for over 8 years. The story was so moving for us and we had this burning sensation to do something to inspire, challenge and raise exposure for the plight of homelessness".
The collaboration is amazing and perfect timing as this month also sees the Big Issue celebrate it's 21st anniversary. Stephen Robertson, Chief Executive of the Big Issue Foundation commented "It's really heartening to see the guys step up to the mark for our 21st birthday, raising some funds and generate awareness about the work of Big Issue vendors. People who are homeless are frequently the recipients of negative stereotypes. So few people realise that vendors use their own cash to buy their magazines and that there's a charity behind the business that helps them to deal with their own big issues. Carousel should be applauded for this great partnership and achieve every success that their talent deserves"

To further raise awareness for the Big Issue Foundation. Carousel will be touring 21 tube stations on the 21st of October 2012 performing for 21 hours in total kicking off outside Piccadilly station on the 21st of October 2012.
