The Big Issue has a long and proud history of offering a hand up and not a hand out. Our vendors use their own money to buy their magazines and sell them at their own profit or loss.
The process of self-help starts with their first sale. The vital support that we offer through the Foundation helps vendors in their personal journeys’ away from homelessness. Every story is different but they are all united by the hard work that goes into turning your life around no matter how difficult the circumstances.
