The Big Issue Foundation’s Service Brokers support vendors to access specialist support in the areas of housing, health, financial inclusion, education and training, and aspirations. Service Brokers achieve this by getting to know vendors and supporting them to share specific issues in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Once issues are identified, Service Brokers develop an action plan with the vendor and support him or her to access specialist support, whether through referrals or in-house drops-ins and clinics.
We work with a wide range of partners and our Service Brokers attend multi-agency board meeting to ensure vendors get the best possible support. By making services accessible and supporting engagement with specialist services (like addiction, housing and health), Service Brokers help vulnerable vendors to bring the chaos that controls their lives in hand. We are confident that with a lot of hard work and your continued commitment and support, we can change more lives and reignite more futures.
