The route is approximately 15 miles and there will be a minimum of 3 rest stops along the route where there will be toilet facilities, snacks and a place to rest for a short time before continuing on your journey.
It’s not an easy challenge but as long as you have a basic level of fitness you should be able to complete the route without any problems. We suggest going out for a long walk of at least half the distance beforehand to help you understand the scale of the challenge and your ability to complete it. We have fully qualified first aiders to help you with any unforeseen difficulties, but if you have pre-existing medical conditions or are worried about your fitness we strongly recommend that you seek medical advice before registering.
The start and finish venue - Shoreditch Town Hall - is located at 380 Old Street, London, EC1V 9LT. The nearest London Underground tube station is Old Street, which is on the Northern Line (Bank Branch). Old Street tube station is a five minute walk from the venue. Exit at Subway 2 in the station for ease of walking. London Liverpool Street station and Moorgate are both an approx. 15-20 minute walk away. The nearest London Overground stations are Shoreditch High Street and Hoxton, both a 5-10 minute walk away. There are plenty of buses - please check on TFL for bus information or here. There is not a designated car park, but there are a number of car parks nearby including a NCP on Great Eastern Street.

We regret that dogs won’t be able to join us on the walk as our start venue and rest stops don’t allow entry to dogs, except guide dogs.
We ask that young people aged 18 years and younger are accompanied by a participating adult, and that all participants are over 12 years of age at the time of the event. There’s no upper age limit but, as mentioned above, you must be confident you can complete the challenge.
Yes! We have lots of people who register for the walk on their own. We’ll have a dedicated area at the start venue where you will get to meet other solo walkers on the night, so you can share the experience with others by walking in groups.

Not much, we have almost everything covered. We do suggest that you bring a bottle of water , which you can refill at rest stops. We also suggest that you bring some comfortable walking shoes, some warm clothes, a mobile phone and a raincoat (just in case!).
We ask that each individual (including when they are part of a team) aims to raise a minimum of £250 in sponsorship, which will provide vital support to some of London’s most vulnerable people. This could go towards helping a vendor move into housing, gaining a qualification or provide them with ID to open a bank account and move into employment. If you are worried about reaching your target, please don’t worry as we’ve got lots of ideas and materials that can help you. You will also have up to a month after the event to reach this target.
Alternatively, if you would prefer not to fundraise then you are able to make a one off personal donation of £220 to register your space with no fundraising commitments.
Lots of big companies will offer their employee match funding for any funds they raise for charity so it’s definitely worth asking your manager if this is a possibility as it will maximise your fundraising efforts.
