1. By registering for a TBIF Gold Bond place in the 2020 Prudential RideLondon you are committing to a fundraising target of £500. The total sum should be sent to the TBIF no later than two months after the event and understand that it is the endeavour of this challenge to raise as much as possible. This should not be cash sent through the post. It may be in form of cheque, bank transfer or over the phone payment.
  2. In cases where you have not followed the fundraising plan you provided at registration, you may be asked to make up the shortfall via a personal donation.
  3. By registering for a charity place you are committing to raise the stated sponsorship pledge by 2 months after the event date. This does not include any Gift Aid claimed against your sponsorship.
  4. Unless discussed with the team in advance, it is expected that matched funding will be in addition to your £500 target. Matched funding is not always guaranteed until the application is accepted after the event.
  5. You agree to raising 60% of the fundraising total by 6 weeks before the event.
  6. You agree to represent and raise money exclusively for the TBIF in this event.
  7. No refund will be made in event of cancellation by you, the event organiser or TBIF as sponsorship raised is for charitable purposes.
  8. Should you have to withdraw for any reason, you should inform TBIF in writing, send all sponsorship forms and money collected directly to the TBIF, and notify your sponsors that you are no longer taking part. All sponsorship monies will be retained by the TBIF unless your sponsors request in writing that the TBIF return it to them within one month of your cancellation (not applicable for online donations).
  9. The Big Issue Foundation has no responsibility to ensure that you are fit for the event. You must ensure that you have the appropriate level of fitness to take part. You must confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, you are currently in a good state of health and that you will not take part in the event unless you are in a good state of health at the time. If you have any health concerns at the time about taking part, you should speak with a doctor.
  10. You are taking part in the event at your own risk. Neither The Big Issue Foundation nor the organisers will have any responsibility for any risk, loss or costs which you incur in connection with the event and you will indemnify The Big Issue Foundation, the organisers and any persons acting on their behalf for any risk, damages, loss or costs arising as a result of your participation in the event.
  11. You must be at least 18 years old by race day.
  12. If successful, the final registration step is to sign up to the Prudential Ride London console. You will receive an email from the event organisers and need to complete the final stages within 10 days of receiving the email, otherwise we will assume you no longer want your Ride London place.
  13. Any photographs taken at the event and given to The Big Issue Foundation of the event will be usable by The Big Issue Foundation for future publicity materials.
  14. You give permission to use your name, photograph, voice, or likeness in any broadcast, telecast, advertising promotion, or other account of this event, or marketing, promotion for future or similar events and waive any rights of privacy that you may have had in that regard.
