Virgin London Marathon 2020 Terms and Conditions

1. If you are allocated a Big Issue Foundation Golden Bond place for the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon, you will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £50 to secure your place. If you have not paid within 10 days, we will assume you no longer want a 2020 Marathon place and your application will not be taken further.
2. By registering for a TBIF Gold Bond place in the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon you are committing to a fundraising target of £1900. The total sum should be sent to the TBIF no later than two months after the event (which takes place on Sunday 26 April 2020), and understand that it is the endeavour of this challenge to raise as much as possible.
3. By registering for a charity place you are committing to raise the stated sponsorship pledge by 2 months after the event date. This does not include any Gift Aid claimed against your sponsorship or the event registration fee. In cases where you have not followed the fundraising plan you provided at registration, you will be asked to make up the shortfall via a personal donation.
4. Unless discussed with the team in advance, it is expected that matched funding will be in addition to your £1900 target. Matched funding is not always guaranteed until the application is accepted after the event.
5. You agree to raising 60% of the fundraising total by 6 weeks before the event.
6. You agree to represent and raise money exclusively for the TBIF in this event.
7. No refund will be made in event of cancellation by you, the event organiser or TBIF as sponsorship raised is for charitable purposes.
8. Should you have to withdraw for any reason, you should inform TBIF in writing, send all sponsorship forms and money collected directly to the TBIF, and notify your sponsors that you are no longer taking part. All sponsorship monies will be retained by the TBIF unless your sponsors request in writing that the TBIF return it to them within one month of your cancellation (not applicable for online donations).
8. If you are in any doubt as to your physical ability to take part in this event, you must seek medical advice from your general practitioner.
9. You are entering this event entirely at your own risk and TBF shall not be liable for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of your participation.
10. You must be at least 18 years old by race day (Sunday 26th April 2020).
11. If successful, the final registration step is to sign up to the Virgin London Marathon console. You will receive an email from the London Marathon organisers and need to complete the final stages within 10 days of receiving the email, otherwise we will assume you no longer want your London Marathon place.
12. I hereby agree that images or footage taken of me on at the event may be used by the TBIF in future promotional material including our websites, social media and charity magazines and reports, unless stated otherwise.
