The Big Issue Foundation are proud to premiere a film to mark this month’s historic World’s Big Sleep Out in Trafalgar Square.
On Saturday 7th December thousands of people slept out at iconic cities around the globe as part of the World’s Big Sleep Out and we are so proud to have been part of one of the flagship events. Taking our place alongside Depaul, The Connection at St Martins, Homeless Link and Thames Reach, The Big Issue Foundation were part of an inspirational night with the cause at the heart of the event. The campaign has succeeded in raising awareness and vital funds for people experiencing homelessness in the UK and internationally, contributing over $10million globally so far!
The film was created by Big Issue Foundation Trustee Giselle Ryan, owner of G Media, and sponsored by Craghoppers. G Media is a global creative agency which specialises in TV commercials, branded content, corporate responsibility, charity and NGO documentary films, as well as event coverage. Their projects have seen them travel the world, but surely none were quite as unique as the World’s Big Sleep Out!
Presented by the charismatic Dominic Littlewood and Leslie Ash, the star-studded film sees the special guests at The World’s Big Sleep Out explain their inspirations for getting involved in the event, along with discussing what more we can do to support people experiencing homelessness. We hope to see the legacy of The World’s Big Sleep Out continue far past the one rainy night in December, with The Big Issue Foundation’s CEO Stephen Robertson commenting that “It’s been a great show of inclusive unity and sense of purpose towards working together to bring about an end to homelessness.”
With thanks to Gisele Ryan, G Media and Craghoppers for their generosity, as well as Dominic Littlewood and Leslie Ash for lending their time to support The Big Issue Foundation.
