The Big Issue represents a glimmer of hope and the promise of opportunity for some of the most excluded and disadvantaged people in our Country. For the 'un-housed' we operate an ‘open house’ system, one that embraces people no matter what their issues and sticks with them as they begin to work their way out of homelessness.
Our vendors are our ‘customers’, they are not our ‘clients’. We empower, we do not judge. We expect a standard of behaviour combined with the will to work towards a better life, a life where people make their own choices about what they want and where they aspire to be.
