It is with great sadness that we recently learnt of the sudden passing of our friend & inspirational artist Tagzee. Stuart was an enormously talented and open artist. His work transforming old pieces of discarded cardboard into amazing metal-like plaques was unique.
Stuart helped raise funds & awareness about the work of The Big Issue Foundation, shared his talents with emerging artists and encouraged & nurtured the artistic skills and abilities of other people with experiences of homelessness.
Stephen Robertson, CEO of The Big Issue Foundation said ‘Tagzee was a wonderful friend and a very humble artist. His work surprised, connected & inspired people to look again at the things we take for granted. We miss him very much and it is my hope that the artists and potential artists he touched will all help carry his vision forward.’
Stuart’s funeral will take place on December the 30th 2015, arriving at 1pm at St Pancreas Chapel, East Finchley Cemetery, East London Road, London NZORZ. The funeral is open to all to attend.
Stuart will be greatly missed by us all. Our hearts and thoughts are with his loved ones and family.
