The last Big Step Challenge raised over £10,000 to ensure more Big Issue vendors can access the housing, healthcare and financial services they need to work towards their personal goals. You can help us smash this total by inviting your friends, family and colleagues to get involved, no matter where they are in the world! The last Big Step Challenge saw participants taking part from as far away as Australia and America- where will you be taking part from? Head to twitter and use the hashtag #BigStepChallenge to let us know!
Inspirational Big Issue vendor Garry is currently embarking on his own challenge alongside the Big Step Challenge, getting in his 10,000 steps (and many more!) by walking from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
He says “It’s about letting people know that there’s a big problem with social exclusion and poverty and, even though I’m homeless myself, I just want to make a small difference. I know that £2,000 isn’t a huge amount of money but the money I can raise for the Big Issue Foundation helps give people the chance to try and better their lives.”
