This March, Big Issue Foundation CEO Stephen Robertson once again takes on the Big Night Walk! Taking supporters on a unique route through the iconic sights of London, the Big Night Walk stands in solidarity with our capital’s rough sleepers, many of whom find it safer to walk the streets at night than bed down to sleep.
Whilst Stephen’s competitive streak is being challenged this year by some amazing fundraisers, he’s ready for the challenge- you can sponsor him here!
Stephen said, “We are facing a humanitarian crisis on the streets of our country. The Big Issue Foundation helps vendors to address the issues that have brought them to us or issues that have arisen as a result of their experiences of homelessness, exclusion and poverty. That is why I am fundraising and taking part in our Big London Night Walk. The money that we raise will go on to help and change lives for good! Please do take part or sponsor me if you can! Thank you”
Labelled an ‘Incredible, inspiring, thought-provoking and a definite would do it again event’ by one of last years’ participants, The Big London Night Walk is sure to sell out very soon! Starting off at Shoreditch Town Hall, the 13 mile walk features personal insights from Big Issue vendors and raises vital funds to continue the work of The Big Issue Foundation. This may be helping a vendor to find a safe place to live, reconnecting with family and loved ones, improving their personal health and well-being or training and development that will lead to a new career.
Fancy joining Stephen on The Big Night Walk? Registration is still open, so register today for just £25 with a fundraising target of £250. We still have space for both groups and individuals, but we recommend booking as soon as possible as we expect this event to sell out soon!
