Stephen Robertson Takes on The Big Night Walk 2019

On 8th March, Stephen Robertson, CEO of the Big Issue Foundation, will be joining hundreds of Big Issue supporters for the Big Night Walk 2019.

This annual 13-mile walk around London’s iconic sights provides an opportunity for the public to raise funds for the Big Issue Foundation while learning about the charity’s life-changing work. Along with the other participants, Stephen hopes to beat his personal fundraising target, with all money raised going towards combatting social and financial exclusion across the UK.

Commenting on the upcoming event, Stephen, who has taken on the past four Big Night Walks, said:

“Whatever way you look at it, homelessness, rough sleeping and other poverty indicators are getting worse. The Big Night Walk is a challenge but we live in challenging times. The event engages directly with the spirit of support and positivity that our event participants bring to the Big Issue and the work of The Big Issue Foundation. I very much look forward to walking and talking with everyone through the night. Each person taking part helps us to help more people and to change lives for good. Join us and be a star under the stars.”

As well as following the Big Night Walk’s unique route around the capital, Stephen will be speaking at the event to discuss the work that Night Walkers will be supporting. We will also be joined by Big Issue Vendors past and present, including former Big Issue vendor James with street cat Bob.

To help us change the lives of Big Issue vendors across the UK, you can sponsor Stephen here. Stephen is hoping to smash his fundraising target of £1000!

If you want to walk with Stephen to help end poverty and exclusion, we have some spaces left on this year’s Big Night Walk. Please sign up here and share the event with anyone who might be interested.
