Winner at the Charity Film Awards

We are absolutely ecstatic that our charity film 'How hard is it to sell The Big Issue' has won bronze at The Charity Film Awards. Thank you so very much for all those who supported us and voted; we are truly grateful!

Gisele Ryan, our wonderful trustee and director of our charity film 'How hard is it to sell The Big Issue' represented us at the Charity Film Awards. Gisele offers insight on how the night evolved:

“The Charity Film awards is an emotive evening gaining an insight into charity films from a huge spectrum of charities, from those who have a turnover of 5 to 50 million pounds to those who have a turnover £10k a year. The turnovers might vary but the passion and commitment to their cause is very much the same.

We arrived on the evening unsure what to expect. Everyone was definitely dressed to impress, the wine flowed and there was a very community feel to the evening as people joked with each other as they lined up for their “step and repeat” photos.

Our category had fierce competition and it was the first award category of the evening to be awarded. When we were awarded Bronze award in the Long form under 5 million pound category I was honoured and proud to accept the award as a Trustee and as the Director of GMedia and of the film. The producers of the film, ‘Bear Jam productions’ and 'This World Can' were equally thrilled.

Next time we’ll win gold!”
